Jesus not only removed the guilt of our sin; He also continually removes the pollution of sin and renews us in the image of God.

Worship
Worship is our heartfelt response to a revelation of Christ. The more we hear God’s revelation of Himself, the more we worship Him.
Maybe We’re Just Gullible?
Nobody talks the way Jesus talked. Those today who have great authority, even if they overestimate their power and over-esteem themselves, do not talk like Jesus talked. They do not claim to be the king of Heaven and earth… They do not claim to have authority to forgive sins… They do not claim that their rule will spread to every corner of the world… They do not claim to establish an unconquerable church and institute new sacraments that have themselves as the foundation and focus. They do not claim that all their commandments are to be obeyed.
They Weren’t Like Jesus
I am a student of church history. And there is a certain sadness to such study, for whenever I study popular figures in Christian history, I am always left with a bittersweet taste. I admire them. But I also don’t aspire to be like them (at least not precisely). I recognize their flaws.
However, I’ve been looking and listening to Jesus and reading about him for two decades now, and I haven’t yet found a flaw… I like Jesus more. I love Jesus more. I want to be like Jesus more.
Why Children Also Suffer
Biblegateway’s Tough Questions with RC Sproul Newsletter sent this question to my mail today: “Why would a loving and holy God allow a child to suffer through a serious illness such as cancer?”
Sproul answers:
We usually associate the love of God with the benefits we receive from him and the blessings that come from his kind and merciful hand. Because his love usually manifests itself in good things that happen to us, we sometimes fall back in shock and consternation when we see a child struck by disease or some other trauma.
A Little Bit Mushy But….
24 Reasons Childhood Friends Are The Best Friends:
#1. You never have to worry about telling them your life story. They were there.
#5. Their quirks and idiosyncrasies, which might bother other people, feel like home to you.
#15. You were friends in a world without Netflix so you’re really good at finding ways to entertain yourselves.
#18. You can go ages without talking, but when important stuff happens, they’re the ones you want around.
