Jones over at Nine Marks outlined five basic errors of the health and wealth gospel that’s prevalent in the church today: 1) the misapplication of the Abrahamic Covenant; 2) a faulty view of the atonement; 3) giving in order to gain compensation from God; 4) faith as a self-generated spiritual force that leads to prosperity; 5) and prayer as a tool to force God to grant prosperity.
